Mad Catz' Wireless Force Controller for PS2
You don't want to get all tangled up in cables while you're jumping around playing games on your PS2 and those old IR units pretty much need to be aimed right at the box to register your gaming intent. In an attempt to give you a bit more breathing room, Mad Catz Interactive just released the 900 MHz Wireless Dual Force 2 Controller for PlayStation 2, which will be on the streets this month. Mad Catz says its Wireless Dual Force 2 controller includes a recharging cradle, can be charged for five hours of play, and doesn't require batteries. It has analog pressure-sensitive action buttons, a D-pad, dual analog joysticks, rubberized grips, and power macro buttons for programming special moves (isn't that cheating?). The thing also has three play modes (Analog, Digital, and Steering Wheel) built-in dual vibration motors, and lets you use eight wireless controllers simultaneously if you have that many hands. The Mad Catz Wireless Dual Force 2 controller will be priced at around $59.99.
