Macromedia Delivers Beta Of Flash Add-On
Macromedia touted browser-free Internet applications in its Thursday release of a beta version of Central, an add-on program for the company’s Flash Player. "Aiming at off-line uses of Internet information such as weather updates or movie show times, the Flash-based program collects data while connected to the Internet, storing it for later access and display."
