Mac OS 9 update leaks out early
Mac users have been downloading a pre-release version of the upcoming Mac OS 9 upgrade directly from Apple Computer's servers, according to a company source.
Mac OS 9.0.4, code-named Minuet, is currently being tested internally at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. and "nobody outside of the firewall should have gotten it," the source said.
Users report they were able either to download the update or access it through their computers' Software Update control panel.
