Linus Torvalds signs book deal
The Finnish founder of the open-source phenomenon, Linux, has signed a contract with HarperBusiness to write a book. To be titled, "Just for Fun: The Story of an Accidental Revolutionary," the book will present a combination of autobiographical information and details about the evolution of his alternative to expensive business software. The book will be written with a "co-author."
Almost ten years old, Linux is used today by an estimated 12 million people, Torvalds continues to control the Linux "kernel" and currently is an employee of Transmeta Corp., located in Silicon Valley.
