by - source: Tom's Hardware

According to this SiliconStrategies.com article , Linksys will be replacing the Ubicom IP2022 Network processor with Intel's Xscale devices in upcoming products. The IP2022 is currently used in Linksys' popular WET11 Wireless Ethernet Bridge .

This is the second Xscale-related announcement in the past two months from Linksys. Back at January's CES 2003 show, Linksys announced that they were working with Intel on an Xscale-based Wireless Digital Media Adapter that will stream JPEG, MP3 and WMA content from networked computers to home A/V equipment.[Thnx David Langston]
