Lian Li has announced the PC-6070 for users wanting a quiet computer system. This case is the ideal solution for end users who are looking for stylish design and acoustics as a part of their computer system. This case will appeal to those who want to use it as a living room multimedia solution and it can also be used in the workplace where there are normally more computers than there are employees.
The PC-6070 is a gray anodized aluminum case with a black finish. Lian Li obviously has put much thought into the design of the PC-6070, and it was designed from the ground up to address acoustics issues that have been problematic in other case designs. The PC-6070 stands on four feet, which allows a reduction in vibration conduction and diminishes the system's noise pollution. This new case also features insulated side panels with an interior that is lined with rubber to absorb system component noise. It also features a detachable door that is insulated to reduce CD-ROM noise.
The PC-6070 is made entirely of aluminum, as are most Lian Li cases. This provides a nice visual appearance as well as thermal conductivity that is three times greater than any steel case. Such efficient heat dissipation provides greater stability to the system, which is the reason aluminum cases are especially recommended for "hot" systems. The aluminum case exterior will remain the same for many years, something that is not always true of standard cases.
