LG.Philips LCD decides to build second 5G TFT LCD line

LG.Philips LCD recently announced that it has decided to invest 1.4 trillion won (about US$1.15 billion) to build a second fifth-generation (5G) TFT LCD production line. The new line will process 1,100 x 1,250mm substrates, instead of 1,000 x 1,200mm substrates as processed by the company's first 5G line.
