Lego Star Wars II: The Good Trilogy

by - source: Tom's Hardware

One of the games being previewed at E3 for what I suppose we can now call the "Alzheimer’s Generation" of consoles is Lego Star Wars II.

The original was the best Star Wars title released around the time of Episode III, and the tongue in cheek humour matched well with the captivating gameplay. Now the sequel is back, and it will focus on the original trilogy.

Characters can now get in and out of vehicles, as well as ride creatures around far more free-form levels, we’re told. You can also mix and match the body parts of more than 50 playable characters leading, we don’t doubt, to a dearth of Chewvader characterisations later in the year.

There are up to 50 playable characters, and those who’ve played the original can import saves and unlock another 54, and we’re being promised more varied powers and special moves for each character.

The game will be released on Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, GameCube, PSP, Windows, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance on 17 September 17.
