Leadtek made several important announcements today at Cebit. Here is the "low down" on these new products.

The WinFast A300 series will be powered by nVIDIA's GeForceFX GPU. This A300 series features a new active cooling system named "WinFast Twin Turbo II." To address and improve the annoying noise coming from the heatpipe fansink solution, the WinFast Twin Turbo II applies wind tunnel technology from the aviation industry, creating perfect airflow within the cooling system itself. These high-efficiency ball bearing fan sets can provide the greatest amount of heat dispersion with the least amount of noise.

The WinFast A300 series includes WinFast A300 Ultra TD ,WinFast A300 TD MyVIVO and WinFast A300 TD, with the GeForceFX 5800 Ultra and GeForce FX 5800 GPU powering the vivid graphics and reality experiences. Moreover, AGP 8X enables more complex models and detailed textures, creating richer and more lifelike environments.

Leadtek also released WinFast A310 Ultra and WinFast A340 Ultra with nVIDIA's GeForceFX 5600 and GeForceFX 5200 GPU. WinFast A310 Ultra with AGP 8X and128MB DDR memory also supports VIVIO and Cinema box functions as well as high-performance 3D and 2D for gaming and entertainment. WinFast A340 Ultra with AGP 8X and 128MB DDR also supports VIVIO and Cinema box functions. It will have the most advanced GPU performance and features for mainstream computing.

Leadtek demonstrated a new family of innovative GPS products at CeBIT. The new products include the GPS 9534, the world's thinnest CF Type I form factor GPS receiver; the GPS 9537, a GPS receiver with Bluetooth integrated; and the GPS 9568, the world's first GPS/GSM/GPRS three-in-one receiver. All of these GPS products are based on the SiRFstarII chipset from SiRF Technology, Inc., a partner with Leadtek. SiRF's GPS chipsets are regarded as the best in performance and accuracy.

The GPS 9534 is the world's thinnest (only 1.1 cm)Compact Flash Type I form factor GPS receiver. It uses a low-power version of the SiRF chipset to achieve a balance in performance versus power consumption and is ideal for applications where battery operation is required. It can be configured to work with a variety of PDAs and mobile devices using its CF slot. For example, you can plug the 9534 into your PDA and carry it with you; instantly, you have a personal or car navigation system.

The GPS 9537 integrates a Bluetooth wireless module into one package. It includes a built-in rechargeable battery and two status LEDs (one for GPS and one for Bluetooth). It supports NMEA0183 Version 2.20 and Bluetooth 1.1 protocols. With the Bluetooth wireless interface, the 9537 connects easily to any Bluetooth-enabled platforms such as PDAs, mobile phones, Tablet and notebook PCs.

The GPS 9568 is the world's first device integrating a high performance GPS receiver, a GSM/GPRS mobile communication module, a battery, emergency push buttons, and status LEDs. It supports hands-free voice functions, SMS (Short Messaging), and wireless Internet connection through a GPRS mobile network. The GSM/GPRS module makes the GPS a two-way device - it can transmit location information as well as display the location information. This opens a potential new world of applications, including personal tracking and personal security.

Leadtek also unveiled the new WinFast TV USB II at CeBIT. This external TV-tuner provides television reception capability on a computer. In addition, WinFast TV USB II enables the connection with external video sources such as video recorders, cameras, or game consoles and provides easy installation by plugging into a USB port.

WinFast TV USB II is a smart and easy solution for television reception using a PC without additional software installation or special hardware requirements. It is very easy to use. Television channels can be pre-set and played back at a pre-programmed time. Convenient operation is ensured by the full function remote control, which is included. WinFast TV USB II is the first TV box that is compliant to USB 2.0 allowing you to watch television programs on your notebook. And, you can also enjoy FM radio while using your PC and turn your PC or notebook into a digital VCR with composite and s-video inputs and stereo phone jack for audio output. Additionally, it features PIP and time-shifting, and de-interlacing is supported to watch television programming on your PC and can be used for video mail and support NetMeeting for video conferencing.

Leadtek announced the WinFast TV2000 XP Deluxe and Expert versions. Both the Deluxe and Expert versions act as a TV tuner card, which enables your PC to receive TV and radio channels. Both versions are ready for video mail and support NetMeeting for video conferencing.
