Supply of 32" LCD TV panels will run short of demand by 10-15% in September, as large-scale US-based electronics retailers such as BestBuy and Circuit City have released orders for LCD TVs for the upcoming hot season, according to TFT LCD makers. Sales of LCD TVs were stronger than expected in North America in the first half of this year and the Christmas hot season will drive sales in the fourth quarter, the panel makers said, adding that consumer electronics retailers have begun releasing orders amid rising demand for LCD TVs in Europe.
