Large size LCD TVs growth driver in Q1 - research firm
Research firm Quixel Research revealed that large-screen sized LCD TVs fueled growth of the LCD TV market in the US in the first quarter, with shipments of 40" and above LCD TVs increasing almost 40% in the first quarter. Part of the increase in sales was due to wider availability and a decline in ASPs (average selling prices) of over 8%.
