LG.Philips LCD forecasts downstream LCD market trend
Global shipments of LCD TVs, monitors and notebooks will reach 256 million units in 2006, with shares of LCD TVs and notebooks to continue growing in the next three years, according to LG.Philips LCD. LCD TVs will generate revenues of $9.1 million in 2006, marking the first time the segment surpasses the $6.3 million market scale of CRT TVs, the maker estimated.
