Latin America's PC market booms
Home PC sales helped push the Latin American computer market to a record-breaking 7.7 million units shipped last year, according to International Data Corp. analysis. The number represents an increase of 28.7 percent over 1999. Other analysts have estimated the growth rate as high as 50 percent last year.
