Late May DRAM contract prices slide 10%
DRAM spot prices have risen slightly from record lows earlier in the month, but contract prices continue their descent from early May. On May 17, DRAMeXchange announced late May global DRAM contract prices, with 128Mbit SDRAM down more than 10% to an average of US$3.25-4.00, while 128Mbit DDR kept the decline within 10%, down to US$3.40-4.10. DRAM distributors indicate that unless spot prices climb higher, contract prices will likely continue to slide into early June.
