The Twighlight Umbrella/USB Hamster Wheel
Leave it up to Toms Hardware to find tech-related rain gear. This umbrella is. . . well, an umbrella.
Normally, one should never consider buying someone an umbrella for Christmas. However, one should always consider buying someone an umbrella that lights up for Christmas.
The brolly uses LED lights and operates via an on-off switch on the handle. It runs on three AAA batteries and those aren’t included. Don’t rub salt in the wound by forgetting to chuck in a pack of AAAs, because then you’re just buying someone an umbrella for Christmas
We actually really like this, although the female members of staff are a little more enthusiastic than the boys. It retails at £19.99 and while some of you may consider that expensive for an umbrella, in all fairness, you did leave it to the last second.
To order a Twilight Umbrella visit the mother of all last minute gift websites, The Random Shop.
The USB Hamster Wheel
Another Gem from The Random Shop comes in the form of the USB hamster wheel.
We’ve all made the jokes about how our machines are run by marathon runner rodents (see super mouse). Having said that most of these comments are usually along the lines of “The hamster in my computer either has his feet up or is dead. . .”
Well, now you can give the little fuzzy the praise he deserves. Plug Hammy into your USB port and install the software supplied. The hamster then runs in the wheel while you work. But wait! He doesn’t just run, that’d be boring, right? Which is why the little rat’s speed depends on how fast you can type.
We wonder who can go faster, the hamster or us?
