LanPartyNW Ushers Washington into the LAN Age

The cacophony of battle includes the thrum of explosions and the screams of the dying. Does this sound like your average day at the office? Perhaps not, but in addition to the shouts from the crowd, more prizes than you can shake an AWP at, a vending machine filled with the nectar of the caffeine Gods and plenty of Bawls; and you have LANPartyNW's 400 Man LAN. It is 24 full hours of gaming, mayhem and free goodies, which this year was never more fun.

What began as a series of small gatherings in the garage of LPNW founder, Jason "sight|i|picture" Harper, little more than 3 years ago has grown over the course of 36 events to become the largest LAN event in the state of Washington. In fact, LPNW just celebrated its 3rd anniversary on January 17th.

There were some new faces there as well as many familiar faces of those who frequent the smaller 'gLANS,' which LPNW hosts in a garage each month. These are affectionately known as 'LPNW Veterans' by staff members in light of their dedication. Gamers came from as far away as Spokane and as close by as Everett to get a piece of the action.

The Everett Events Center, where the magic happened.
