LAN Party: The GXL 256 Lights Up a Southern Jersey Rescue Squad House : The GXL 256
They're three in one with one for all and all for one.
Millville, New Jersey, located on the Maurice River, was once a thriving river port. With the discovery of silica sand, the town became a major glassmaking center in the U.S., which the glassmaking capacity of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania largely made redundant by the end of the 19th century. Now, at the beginning of the of the 21st century, I wonder if those who discovered silica would have ever thought that it would be used to hook up 284 gamers to battle each other for 48 hours non-stop.

This is a great place to game!
I have played in many places, but this venue had something special about it. For large LAN parties, the venues are normally rented, but not in this case. With full approval from both the Millville Rescue Squad chief and the Millville Rescue Squad board of directors, the use of the building was given to GXL to hold its event free of charge. In order to have gamers inside, the rescue squad vehicles had to be parked outside. That might not seem like much but it meant that the squad members had to drill weeks before the event to insure that they could get to a call within the same deadlines. In a matter of life of death, every second counts, and they were willing to make the extra effort to allow guys like me to have a great weekend.
