Volatile memory technology continues to progress, whether you're jonesing for Rambus memory or faster DDR. Kingston just let us know that laptops won't be left out in the cold as we plug superior memory products into our machines and is now shipping DDR PC1600 and DDR 2100 Small-Outline DIMM (SO-DIMM) development modules to OEM customers. These small form-factor memory modules are intended for use on notebook and other compact platforms that can take advantage of DDR memory technology. DDR PC1600 SODIMMs are available in capacities ranging from 64MB to 128MB, as are the new DDR PC2100 SODIMMs.
