Kazaa Ups Copyrighted Files In New Version
Sharman Networks released a followon version to its Kazaa Media Desktop software which increases the number of "gold" copyrighted files, and allows users to surf personal ads.
Version 2.1 increases the ratio of copyrighted, licensed files, according to Sharman, which controls the controversial Kazaa media desktop software, reducing the number of files that lack such a copyright.
"KMD users have shown great interest in premium Altnet content," said Sharman Networks CEO, Nikki Hemming, in a statement. "We've increased the ratio of rights-managed files in results and expanded the popular Showcase. We're committed to enhancing users' experience of KMD and embracing the P2P philosophy."
