JVC launches new flagship hard drive camcorder
JVC today launched the new flagship Everio 3-CCD camcorder, which comes with an in-built 30 GB hard drive and between 7 and 37 hours worth of recording space, depending on quality settings.
The new JVC Everio G Series GZ-MG505 promises native full resolution 16:9 (1173 x 660 x3 effective pixels) and 4:3 DVD movie quality recording, as well as the ability to take up to 10,000 JPEG photos, at up to 2560 x 1920 resolution for A4 prints.
With the aid of an optional JVC extra one can burn videos to DVD without the need for a computer. The Everio GZ-MG505 offers a built-in DVD burner control allowing it to be directly connected to the CU-VD10 SHARE STATION JVC burner. The camera also has a USB slot for transferring files to the computer, or you can use the optional SD memory card slot.
The JVC Everio GZ-MG505 will be available in July and will sell for approximately $1300. European pricing has yet to be announced.
