JEDEC issues in Sun, Kinsgton suit
In another article by Jack Robertson, the ongoing patent infringement suit by Sun Microsystems against Kingston Technology is compared to the battle between Rambus Inc. and various memory makers. Issues of disclosure and rule breaking within the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) are an important part of both conflicts. Micron Electronics's suit against Smart Modular Technologies as well as several other industry lawsuits also involve JEDEC rules.
