Japanese distributors descend on Taiwan for massive DRAM purchases
I-O Data Device and Buffalo, the two largest Japanese distributors, together holding 70% of Japan's IT channel market, have made the unusual move this past week of arriving on Taiwan's doorstep to purchase DRAM chips and modules. They plan to finish the packaging in Japan.
