J2SE 1.5 Beta 1 Released
Sun has released Beta 1 of Java 2 Standard Edition 1.5 (J2SE). According to Sun, the new version of the developer platform sports language updates such as metadata, generics, enumerated types and autoboxing of primitive types as well as a new JVM monitoring and management API, improved performance as well and a new look.
