iTunes opens up Paul McCartney pre-orders
Cupertino (CA) - Apple is now accepting pre-orders for a digital version of Paul McCartney’s "Memory Almost Full" solo album, and promises that his entire 25 album repertoire will be available on iTunes by the end of May.
McCartney is the last member of The Beatles to bring his solo music to the digital market. The iTunes announcement comes just one day after EMI Music said that it is working on a campaign to re-launch all of McCartney’s albums.
Memory Almost Full is McCartney’s latest project and is scheduled for a June 5 street date. It will be the first McCartney album to have a day-and-date release on iTunes.
"’Memory Almost Full’ is a very personal album for me, and I’m thrilled to let fans experience it in a whole new way. There’s no better time to make this music available through iTunes," said McCartney.
Apple also said in a press release that "Paul McCartney’s full catalog of 25 solo albums will be available for the first time digitally on iTunes later this month."
