Key LCD component to suffer tight supply in 2007
With TFT LCD panel makers aggressively ramping capacity, ITO (indium-tin oxide), a key component for color filters (CFs) is expected to be in short supply by 2007 due to the difficulty in expanding indium production, according to industry sources. ITO accounts for 10 percent of the production costs for CFs.
