iSuppli trims 2007 semiconductor revenue growth forecast to 8%

A combination of factors, including a deceleration in mobile-phone shipment growth, a lingering excess inventory problem and a major slowdown in the memory market, has prompted research firm iSuppli to trim its 2007 worldwide semiconductor revenue forecast, primarily due to an anticipated decline in DRAM sales.Global semiconductor revenue is expected to rise to US$281.4 billion in 2007, up 8.1% from US$260.2 billion in 2006, according to iSuppli.
