Cupertino (CA) - Apple today anounced that the new version of its Ipod shuffle, which it is calling the "most wearable Ipod ever", will be available in stores throughout the country this Friday, 3 November. The new player is almost half the size of the original Ipod shuffle, leading Apple to claim it as the world’s smallest digital music player.
The shuffle comes with one gigabyte of flash memory, which can hold approximately 240 songs, according to Apple. It comes with a built-in clip to attach to clothing, emphasizing the feature of wearability.
"With its ultra-compact design and built-in clip, the new iPod shuffle is the most wearable Ipod ever The new iPod shuffle completes our all-new lineup of Ipods for this holiday season and beyond, and we hope it’s going to be a huge hit," said Greg Joswiak, VP of Ipod product marketing.
The new shuffle has a volume of half a cubic inch, according to Apple, anf comes with a pair of headphones and a dock to connect to a PC or Mac computer. It retails for about $80.
