ITC to probe potential Ipod patent infringement
The International Trade Commission replied to Creative’s patent infringement complaint filed on 15 May. According to an Associated Press article, the organization will investigate a possible patent violation and "set a target date for completion of the investigation within 45 days of the investigation’s launch."
Creative claims that Apple infringes on its "Zen" patent, which describes a way of automatically organizing digital music collections into categories. Apple responded immediately with a countersuit, alleging that Creative infringes on a total of seven Apple patents.
