iPhone to boost touch panel demand
The launch of Apple’s iPhone will significantly grow the penetration of touch panels in the handset market this year, according to today’s Chinese-language Commercial Times quoting a forecast by Topology Research Institute (TRI), a Taiwan-based research organization . TRI expects the value production of touch panels will total US$2.7 billion in 2007, noted the paper.
