BMW Vying To Be First To Integrate Apple iPhone Into Cars
Makers of all things that look cool and go vroom Bayerische Motoren-Werke (aka BMW, to the unwashed masses) are vying to be the first manufacturer in line to integrate the iPhone into their high-end 7-series.
BMW was, one may recall, the first to integrate the iPod into its cars, and we can see a similar recharge / play dock being built into the 7-series for the iPhone. This will be a handy addition for motorists as well seeing as it is becoming increasingly illegal worldwide to drive your car whist talking on the phone without the aid of a hands free kit... Not to mention unsafe, even where it happens to be legal. (Ahem, anyone in this company care to fess up ? Best not to name names...)
