Iomega celebrates 25th birthday
Believe it or not, storage company Iomega, which many users discovered first in the mid-1990 through the firm’s streamer tape drives and later on the Zip floppy drive, will be 25 years in April. The company said it will celebrate the anniversary with "commemorative" activities throughout 2005 which will include sales, sweepstakes and a public birthday celebration in Fall.
Sales will begin on April 4 with a 25 percent rebate on external hard drives, Zip drives, USB flash drives, DVD burners and the new Iomega REV drive, when purchased through the firm’s online store. (THG)
