Inventec reportedly to exit LCD TV business
Inventec has decided to phase out of the LCD TV OEM business due to low margins and slower-than-expected order placement from TV brands, according to the Chinese-language Commercial Times. The notebook maker responded via a filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) that it has incorporated its digital home business (including LCD TVs) into a new consumer electronics business and aims to aggressively provide services for consumer electronics in the future.
