InterSquid.com bundles free PC with Web access
InterSquid.com, an Internet Service Provider start-up, is offering customers unlimited Internet service, e-mail and Web hosting for $29.99 per month - and throwing in a free computer.
The ISP's offer includes a fully-loaded 300 MHz PC, pre-configured with Windows 98 software, a CD-ROM, sound card, 56K fax/data/voice modem. The PC comes with a three-year limited warranty and 24-hour technical support.
Unlike other companies offering free computers, InterSquid.com does not require users to view advertising and other promotional banners to qualify for the offer. Instead, the deal is structured like those offered with cellular phones and home security hardware, bundling free equipment with a multi-year service contract.
Details of the offer are posted at http://www.intersquid.com .
