International firms dress "domestic" to win Chinese government procurement contracts
Aiming to boost the domestic economy and foster growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, the Chinese government last month announced a policy requiring that state-run agencies only buy homegrown goods and services for their procurement needs, effective January 2003.
