Intergraph wins partial patent win over Intel
A US federal appeals court has ruled that Intel Corp. does not have legal right to use chip technology owned by Intergraph Corp. Intergraph claims that its technologies are used in the Pentium family of chips, while Intel refutes that claim.
Intergraph intends to go back to court seeking royalties for the use of its technology from Intel. If successful, the company will look at the products of Advanced Micro Devices and other chip companies to see if its technologies are in use.
