Intel yanks `Greendale' Rambus project
Intel has reportedly pulled the plug on Greendale, the code name for a chipsetbeing developed to support a mobile version of Direct Rambus DRAM.
An Intel spokesman declined to verify the report, attributed to industry sources. Intel officials maintain that a mobile Direct Rambus chip is due to become available in 2000 or 2001, and that Intel will provide core logic to support it.
