Intel wins antitrust ruling

by - source: Tom's Hardware

A U.S. federal judge has ruled that Intel did not violate antitrust laws by withholding product information from Intergraph.

The Huntsville, Ala.-based Intergraph, which makes graphics chips and high-powered workstations, said it lost access to the information after threatening to sue Intel for patent infringement.

A 1998 injunction forcing Intel to release the information was overturned late last year.

The only issues still to be decided in the litigation between the companies are state claims including unfair business practices and breach of contract.
