Intel takes USB networking home
Intel has launched a home network product designed to take advantage of the USB port on newer computers.
The AnyPoint Phoneline Home Network USB model lets multiple home computers share a single Internet connection, along with common printers, files and applications.
The $89 USB device provides up to one megabit-per-second of network bandwidth across existing copper phone lines. A parallel port model also is available for $99, and a PCI adapter sells for $79.
