In another apparent setback for Intel's chipset division, sources say the company has cancelled its so-called Glen Echo project, according to The Register.
Provisionally named the S440GE2, the motherboard - designed to use Ultra160, fast Coppermine technology, with a 100MHz spin - was originally scheduled to sample last month and to ship in July.
The cancellation has forced Intel to rush to increase supplies of its Lancewood board, designed for Coppermine-based servers up to 850MHz.
