Intel 45 nm server processors to account for almost half of total 2-way server shipments in Q2 08
With Intel set to launch 45nm quad-core (Harpertown) and dual-core (Wolfdale-DP) server processors in fourth quarter 2007, 45 nm processors are scheduled rapidly increase in shipment proportions to account for almost 50% of total 2-way server shipments by second quarter 2008, according to sources at server makers. At Harpertown’s launch in fourth quarter of 2007, 45 nm processors will account for around 11% of the total 2-way server processor shipments.
