Intel plans post-PCI bus standard
The Register reports from the Intel Developer Forum that Intel Corp. is preparing a spec for the successor to the PCI bus standard. The company says its technology will last ten years and take the PC industry into a full serial, point-to-point 10GHz interconnect. Competing specs include Advanced Micro Devices' HyperTransport technology.
