Intel Launches Linux Tool
Intel Corp. said Wednesday it’s shipping an upgrade of its performance analysis tool, which has been enhanced with native Linux support for the chipmaker’s Itanium family of processors. "The VTune Performance Analyzer 2.0 for Linux identifies lines of application code that consume excessive amounts of processor resources, giving developers the opportunity to remove potential performance bottlenecks."
