Intel introduces platforms for medicine and emerging markets
At IDF San Francisco, Intel unveiled two PC reference designs that are aimed at bringing digital and wireless technology to the medical care business - one design targets home-use applications, while the other targets hospitals. The two therapy devices are compatible with built-in wireless technologies including RFID, which help standardize therapy information and patients’ data and link medical systems at different hospitals for sharing resources on useful treatments.
