Intel Itanium gets $10 billion new lease on life
Despite rumors of its impending demise, Intel’s Itanium received a US$10 billion new lease on life on January 26 in the US, according to several US-based media reports. The investment is a coup for the Itanium Solutions Alliance (ISA) that was founded in September last year.
The announcement happened at the organization’s first Executive League event, which was held to lay out the strategy for Itanium solution delivery through the end of the decade.
