Intel expects surging 865 chipset shipments
Shipments of Intel’s 865 chipsets for desktop Pentium 4 processors are expected to account for 50% of total desktop P4 chipset shipments in the late third quarter and 65-70% by year-end, compared to about 30% currently, according to Randy Wilhelm, vice president of Intel’s desktop platforms group.
