Intel downgrades Q1 earnings to pay for recall
According to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Intel's first-quarter earnings have been reduced one penny per share to pay for the recall of its faulty chipset. Analysts say it could cost $300 million to replace 1 million motherboards with memory problems.
