Intel cuts Celeron, Pentium II prices
Intel has lowered the prices of its desktop Celerons and 400MHz Pentium IIs.
The 400MHz Pentium II has been reduced 10 percent, from $193 to $173, while 400MHz Celeron prices dropped from $103 to $93.
The price of the 466MHz Celeron was lowered from $169 to $147, while the 433MHz version fell to $113 from $143. The 366MHz Celeron will sell for $69, down from $73. Pricing for the 333MHz part remained unchanged at $67.
All prices are based on 1,000-unit purchases and Intel's PPGA or "socketed" package. Intel will cut desktop microprocessor prices again on July 18, according to EBN reports.
