Intel Corp. has apparently decided to counter Advanced Micro Devices's successful efforts to identify itself with video gamers and gaming. The Inquirer reports that Intel will sponsor the CyberAthletes Professional League in the US and may expand to CPL Europe. Moreover, the article suggests that when games are optimized for the Pentium 4, Intel may win bragging rights for the fastest game chips.
