Intel and SiS licensing issues with 533 MHz FSB
SiS's new SiS645DX chipset can be overclocked to 533 MHz in FSB speed, but officially it just supports Intel's 400 MHz FSB standard. In the meantime, the two companies are rumored to be negotiating on licensing fees for Intel's 533 MHz FSB standard. Is Intel squeezing chipset vendors on 533 MHz to gain market share for its own chipsets? No one is saying right now.
