Intel and Alvarion develop alternative solutions for last mile
Intel announced that it is working with broadband equipment maker Alvarion to deliver low-cost wireless broadband equipment based on Intel's 802.16a chipsets. The solutions will provide a broadband wireless access alternative to existing "last mile" methods, such as cable and digital subscriber lines (DSL).
